About The Film Posse

Diverse Stories & Storytellers

Our company began in 2008 when co-founders Tracy Heather Strain and Randall MacLowry merged their individual production companies to form The Film Posse, Inc. We craft compelling stories for screens large and small, specializing in long-form documentaries on a diverse range of topics.

To us, diversity isn’t just a word. It is who we are. The Film Posse is a woman- and minority-owned business that tells stories of our diverse world tackling issues that include US history, race, identity, gender, sexuality, health disparities, science and technology. We stand committed to creating opportunities for women and black and indigenous people of color in front of and behind the camera.
